At Evolve, cupping is performed only by qualified practitioners working within their professional scope of practice:

• Massage therapists may incorporate cupping as part of a therapeutic massage session to address soft-tissue restrictions or muscle tightness.
• Traditional Chinese Medicine doctors may use cupping within a broader treatment plan that can include acupuncture or other TCM-based modalities.

All services are delivered in a coordinated care model—meaning your practitioner communicates with the rest of your Evolve care team (chiropractors, physiotherapists, or naturopaths) to ensure treatment decisions align with your overall plan and health goals.

Your appointment begins with an assessment and discussion of your goals. Once cupping suitability is confirmed, cups are applied for several minutes, sometimes moved gently over the skin for a “gliding” effect. After the session, you may feel warmth, looseness, or temporary skin markings that fade naturally.
