Robert Knight is an enthusiastic, passionate and highly motivated registered massage therapist. With a lifelong background in sports, including gymnastics and pole vault. He has personally experienced the benefits that manual therapy can offer. The numerous positive impacts that physical therapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, and manual osteopathic therapists have made in his life both as an athlete inspired him to become a massage therapist. Upon graduating with 2200 hours from the Alberta College of Massage Therapy, he is continuing his educational pursuits by training to become a type II manual osteopathic therapist with the Manual Osteopathic College of Canada.
Born and raised here in Calgary, Alberta. Robert has a busy and active lifestyle, he is an avid gym-goer, and continues to train as a gymnast well into adulthood. His love for seasonal sports and the great outdoors takes him to the Rockies to downhill ski in the winter, as well as hike, ski, surf, and golf in the summer. Through recreational activities, he has come to appreciate, value, and continue to benefit from an active lifestyle.
Outside of manual therapy, he is a dedicated gymnastics coach and has a dual career as the program coordinator for an acrobatic gymnastics team in the city. As a volunteer, he is the coaching coordinator for acrobatic gymnastics in Alberta and a member of the national program committee for acrobatic gymnastics with Gymnastics Canada Gymnastique.
After experiencing firsthand, as a patient of Evolve, the countless benefits of their multidisciplinary approach to managing pain and injury. His goal of helping patients get back to normal, whatever their normal maybe, has stemmed from his personal history and rich life experiences as an athlete, patient and therapist.
